As an 80’s baby, I needed to created a jacket that pays homage to that era. I was so into creating this perfect silhouette made out of the softest and drapiest leather. With deep armholes, shoulder pads and a crop length – the LAMARQUE Dylan moto jacket is literally life.
All the styles we design are so much fun to create but this one was a riot. Our patternmaker Richard, who is such a character and absolutely the most talented patternmaker in entire country, totally felt the sketch of this style within his core since he used to go out to parties and make his outfits during those years! He had no base template to start from so he had to create this pattern entirely from scratch. And of course, when I tried on the first prototype of this jacket, he literally nailed it. As I recall, we only had to shift a belt loop.
The reaction to the DYLAN has been amazing. It’s been worn by Mariah Carey (which is sooo cool), Olivia Culpo (& she is smoking, see the post here) and has been featured in L’Officiel magazine. But the ultimate best feeling is Revolve re-ordering it over and over and having it worn by all these amazing cutting edge beauties.
One of the major highlights this year for me was definitely appearing on liveTV for the very first time! It was on The Shopping Channel and it was part of the Style Matters with Jeanne Beker fashion series on October 11th. It was a full on 30 minute fashion talk Q & A while going over looks that models were wearing styled with LAMARQUE. It was such an incredible experience being on the show and I seriously had so much fun doing it. After it was over, I felt this unbelievable high that left me feeling like I couldn’t wait to go back on air and do it all over again! It was such a success for the brand and for me personally since truly, I am in introvert at heart so these kinds of things generally freak me out tbh!
I have to say though, practice really does make perfect. Prior to the show, I had practiced and trained with the amazing team over at TSC which were such great talents seriously! I practiced in front of friends and family and even reading over my notes right up until I had to go get mic’ed. Even though I know my product better than anyone else, I was afraid of blanking out. Walking off the set, I really felt happy with the overall result of my first time on air and it was a major accomplishment for me personally. No doubt there were times during the show that I felt like I didn’t say the right thing or I could’ve worded something better but nothing is perfect in life and we can’t dwell on our shortcomings – we need to move on to the next!
Meeting my beau for a beautiful 5à7 at Terrasses Place D’Armes in Montreal. We’re both so busy working late too often so when we get a bit of a break in our schedules, we make a point to enjoy those few extra hours together. <3
Quick 1 week getaway to Mexico for a friend’s wedding! It was so much fun being with friends and having a week to relax! I packed with me only the lightest and easiest to pair pieces that work well together for different combinations. We stayed at the ROYALTON and we were blown away 🙂
I love a good summer knit top – with an off the shoulder look and open back, it’s just light enough. I paired the lightweight LAMARQUE Koemi Knit top with a pair of easy LEVI’s black shorts, a heel to elongate the legs and the perfect ZARA mini raffia minaudiere bag.
There is nothing more I love then having that closet essential that is so versatile. I believe a woman’s wardrobe should be filled with quality basics that will last a lifetime and mixed with trend items to refresh a look. The LAMARQUE Avana Stretch Leather Tube Skirt is just that perfect item. Wear it on a first date out at a chic restaurant, at a board meeting discussing that next store opening, at a best friend’s engagement, or casually out and about. The most amazing part is that it’s made out of the softest and smoothest lamb leather and will always keep it’s shape.
I styled it two ways during my last trip in Milan. For the 1st look, I styled it with the Fala silk naked bodysuit, a patent pump and an oversize cardigan to add a touch of nonchalance, plus I am always cold :). This is a totally classic look that will be elegant and sexy today and forever. For the 2nd outfit, I toned it down with a pair of kicks and our embellished Kasi tie front tee. I’m a big fan of wearing a skirt with sneakers, I love the mix of feminine and casual cool.
Back in the office and tackling the last bits of our FW 1819 production and also moving along our SS19 sampling. Already end of June, time is passing way too fast! Wearing the LAMARQUE Reiko Button Down Blouse and our signature Kelly Stretch Leather Leggings. I’m loving the twist on the classic white button down – the asymmetric closure, longer length and exaggerated sleeves are everything! Pair it with a slim fit bottom to make sure that you look long and lean. The elongated length hits just below the bum which makes it all that more easy to wear. What I love the most is that immediate sharp feeling you have when you put this blouse on <3
The Danes definitely love their coffee. Walking around Copenhagen, you’ll quickly notice that it’s literally a paradise of all these cute and cozy cafes. I especially loved No.11 – it had such a great vibe and the coffee was so good!
Spring is officially here & for this season, I wanted to create that perfect transitional piece that will ease you into the warmer months! I knew it would be a bit chilly while I was in Paris and the LAMARQUE Penelope coat was that perfect item to have with me. Literally wear it over anything. It also looks so perfect worn over a leather jacket. It gives you that extra barrier of warmth & it looks sooo chic. It’s made out of a double face wool blend fabric and all the seams are entirely finished by hand which is super luxe. I’m especially loving this white color for spring – it instantly brightens up the mood & the wardrobe leading up to summer! It also comes in black which obviously is my fave colour 🙂 .

It’s officially Spring but it definitely doesn’t feel like it at all! When I looked out my window this morning, it seemed to be one of those early spring days that you can begin to feel the warmth. Nope. Absolutely not! Despite the current chill factor sitch, I’m still going to transition my spring pieces into my wardrobe. I couldn’t wait another day to wear these LAMARQUE Garnet leather shorts, so I simply paired them with nylons, boots and an oversize sweater. I already have several outfits lined up in my mind when I will be wearing these perfect leather shorts! With a tee and sneakers for a casual look on the go, with a pair of stilettos and a draped silk blouse on a date with my SO.. the possibilities are seriously endless!
